Blue Mosque

Blue Mosque is originally named as Sultanahmet Mosque after the founder of the Sultan Ahmet I. The name of the Blue Mosque was given almost a century later by the travellers.

Basilica Cistern

It is the largest Byzantine Cistern in the Old City, it was built firstly by the Constantine the Great then Emperor Justinian rebuilt in 537. It has two beautiful mythological Medusa Heads which were used as Column bases.

Hagia Sophia

Hagia Sophia was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in 537 dedicated Divine Wisdom. It was converted into a mosque after the Conquer of the city by the Ottoman Empire.

It is now both Museum since (1934) and Mosque (2020).
